Over the years we have been trading, we have always tried to make the right choices and reduce our impact on the environment. We always research our partners processes and supply chain thoroughly before deciding to work together. Here we try to be as transparent as possible, and provide you with information on our carefully chosen print partners. 

GREETING CARDS

Product Information: Paper

Our cards are printed on sustainably sourced, recyclable British-made Incara card, and supplied with a recycled Kraft envelope. 

The Kraft paper we use is the most eco-friendly paper we could source: FSC certified, recycled and recyclable, this paper is carbon neutral as it is made entirely from consumer waste and made with wind power. 

Our cello bags are 30-micron film, made with renewable corn and other sugar starches. This film biodegrades completely into CO2, water and biomass, under industrial composting conditions (6 months at 58° C). It has a shelf life of 12+ months if stored correctly.

 

Print Partner Statement (Paper)

'We promote green products where possible to our customers, to enable them to make informed choices when it comes to their print. 

We look for innovative solutions to help us reduce waste, like reusing ink cartridges and investing in print technology that ​​​​​​​saves paper.

We're a zero to landfill site. 95% of our waste is manufactured back into recycled products and the remaining 5% is converted into Refuse Derived Fuel.

We strive to continually improve our environmental wellness. We’re actively reducing plastic in our packaging and improving our eco-friendly range.

We package all our products with water-activated paper tape, an environmentally-friendly alternative to plastic adhesive, which is made from100% recycled Kraft Paper with a natural rubber-based adhesive. All materials are completely biodegradable.'

We’re proudly certified to Forest Stewardship Council^® (FSC^®) standards and ISO Management standards. External regulatory bodies which hold us accountable to strict standards when it comes to environmental policies and procedures.

 

TEA TOWELS

Product Information

Our tea towels are ethically produced, using eco-friendly materials and inks on soft and absorbent 100% cotton Panama (275gsm cotton) which is grown in US.  Printed at 50cm x 75cm and hemmed on all four sides.

 

Print Partner Statement (Textiles)

'We use processes that are as low impact and safe as possible, we have always specialised in water-based inks, which, although more difficult to use, have virtually no impact on the environment. We also insist that all other chemicals used in cleaning processes etc are environmentally safe.

Our premises has been built to the highest standards with regards to insulation etc thereby helping to minimise our carbon footprint and to further our carbon reduction, we have also installed solar panels on the factory roof.

With regard to our ethical policy over buying our fabrics and imported products; the bulk of our fabrics are woven in Turkey and finished in in the UK. Where we do use mills and factories in the other parts of the word, we ensure that no child labour is used and that employment standards are good. We can supply accreditation for our organic fabrics. Plus quality assurances for our pre-sewn items by the CISQ Federation and RINA SA 8000-2008 Certified Social Accountability System. Our cushion inners are of the highest quality and are all manufactured in the U.K. 

We make sure any waste fabrics, cardboard, chemicals etc are recycled wherever possible or disposed of responsibly according to current legislation.

We are very unusual as we design, print and sew the majority of our items all under the one roof, again cutting down on the environmental damage caused by shipping goods unnecessarily from one place to another.'

COASTERS

Our range of eco friendly, sustainable coasters are made from a robust 3mm thick Eucalyptus hardboard with a non-slip 1.5mm protective cork underside. All wood and cork is sourced from FSC-certified suppliers. The vinyl laminate can be peeled off ensuring the remainder of the coaster can be fully recycled.

We ensure all waste paper and cardboard is recycled. Any parcels we receive, the box and packaging materials are reused.
