This is an original digital print, of the pair of swans that have lived behind Conwy Castle, North Wales for over twenty years.
* Note from the Artist * "When I had my riverside studio in Conwy, I used to sit on the rocks or jetty and contemplate life. I was at a real low point in my life, and sitting by the water was the only way I could find a sense of peace. Driven by curiosity, the swans edged closer, each day, until finally they were comfortable with me. We shared this space, time and mutual respect for hours every week, I used to talk to them and they just, well, listened. We did this everyday I was there, unless they were nesting, and even then it wasnt long before they brought their offspring to show me ...as you can see in the photos.
This pair are very much a part of Conwy, as are the other birds in this series, and I wanted to pay homage to them for their company, and spending time with a wreck like me."
